r\u00f8rledninger, der er udviklet til effektiv modtagelse og transport. Norne vil g\u00f8re det muligt at CO2 indfanget af nationale og internationale industrielle CO2-udledere kan lagres i Danmarks kommende landbaserede eller kystn\u00e6re geologiske lagringsstrukturer - dybt nede i undergrunden. Norne er udviklet som en stor-skala, \u00f8konomisk og sikker CO2-lagringshub, der giver CO2-udledere adgang til en \u00f8konomisk attraktiv og sikker vej til at reducere deres udledninger. Norne vil yde et v\u00e6sentligt bidrag til b\u00e5de Danmark og Europa i forhold til at opn\u00e5 klimam\u00e5lene for 2030 og 2050. Norne er udn\u00e6vnt som et EU-projekt af f\u00e6lles interesse (Project of Common Interest, \"PCI\") som et prioriteret infrastrukturprojekt med v\u00e6sentlig betydning for flere medlemsstater.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Norne planl\u00e6gger at begynde modtagelse af CO2 tidligt i 2030erne. CO2'en vil blive transporteret fra udlederen enten via r\u00f8r eller skib til Nornes modtagefaciliteter, hvorfra CO2'en transporteres via r\u00f8rledninger til de n\u00e6vnte lagringsstrukturer. Nornes hub er designet til at h\u00e5ndtere store m\u00e6ngder CO2, og Norne forventer at h\u00e5ndtere mere end 15 millioner tons CO2 om \u00e5ret.
